Youth Camp Summer

Summer 2017 Banner

Register wordmarkSummer 2017 theme is …

Here I Am Lord!

AngelBased on 1 Samuel 3:8-10 when Samuel is called by God and willingly says, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”  God has called us to do different things with our lives.  We must be willing, like Samuel and countless others in the Bible, to hear Him and answer with a willing heart, saying, “Here I am, send me!”

The summer theme for 2017 was voted on during our Family Weekend celebration.  Campers, staff, and other submitted ideas throughout the summer.  This theme was submitted by one of our high school C.I.T.s (Counselor-in-Training).  Congratulations to “Angel” on choosing this year’s theme!

Camp LuWiSoMo summer youth camps provide faith-growing opportunities in a Christ-centered outdoor ministry setting for children from three years old through High School.  Through the blessings of people, facilities, and God’s Word, Camp LuWiSoMo provides an incredible learning experience for every child as they dive deeper into understanding faith.

In 2017 we are offering two weekends for our youngest campers with our Kindercamp and Jr. B.A.S.I.C. programs.  For our campers entering 3rd through 8th grade, we have our 5-night B.A.S.I.C. camp.  The C.I.T. Horse Camp Option:

One additional option that can be added to the B.A.S.I.C. camp program is Horsemanship Camp. This additional option can be added for $70 and is geared toward those who want to learn the basics of how to care for horses and spend some fun time in the saddle. The camper will “adopt” a horse for the week. Under the supervision of the staff, it will be the camper’s responsibility to bring in, groom, and tack their horse before riding each day. Once chores are done, it will be time to hit the trail where the stables staff will be there to guide and answer questions. On the trail we will maneuver around obstacles, improving control and management of the horse. Horsemanship Camp runs about two hours each day as a substitute to regular youth camp programming.

Youth campers who are not taking Horsemanship Camp may sign up for horse rides.  The cost is $25 for a 45-minute ride if they are registered for camp.  We recommend adding your horse ride before you register for camp. You may be able to add a ride on the day you sign in to camp, but since horses are limited, a ride may not be available at that late date.
