Helpers of the Week

Health Care Provider of the Week

During our summer months when camp is flooded with kids, there are bound to be stings, cuts, and scrapes to tend to.  What better way to serve than through our Health Care Provider of the Week program. We ask that each week have two "Medical personnel" on call to tend to minor injuries and dispense medications when needed. We have both youth camp and Joyful Hearts camp, which is a camp for youth and adults who have special needs. Those who qualify to be a Health Care Provider include a Wisconsin Licensed Physician, R.N., Physician Assistant, L.P.N., an E.M.T. or Paramedic.

Pastor of the Week (p.o.w.)

The Pastor of the Week program is designed to enhance the Summer Camp Program at LuWiSoMo and at the same time allow for LC-MS Pastors to enjoy quality time with their families. Some responsibilities include, share an object lesson during our morning chapel for campers, lead a Bible Study for summer counselors and volunteers at various times during the week, and lead our Saturday evening service including a sermon.

Maintenance helper of the Week (M.O.W.)

The M.O.W. assists LuWiSoMo's maintenance staff with continual upkeep of the buildings and grounds during our busiest season by volunteering around six hours each day. Projects will depend on interest and areas of expertise as well as the specific needs during your week.

Cook's helper of the week (C.h.o.w.)

The C.H.O.W. would work with the regular cook for two meals a day. We ask that you help with food preparation, clean up, and serving. You can eat with your family when then come in if you like.
